My client provides pricing optimisation software and consulting services for companies in the financial services industries. As a Senior Analyst you will manage small teams of analysts and consultants using statistical tools to analyse large client databases and build models for segmentation, market response, product profitability and price optimisation. Although the Senior Analyst will be required to contribute to the development of these models, the chief responsibility is to manage the analysts. You will provide hands-on, day-to-day supervision, guiding the work, interpreting the results and re-directing where necessary. The Senior Analyst will also be in day-to-day communication with clients, gathering both the data and the business information needed to guide the analyses and communicating results. You will have experience at manager-level in an analytically-focused consultancy or decision science group and will have developed the usual consulting skills. You will possess a degree in a numerical, statistic, economic, operational research or engineering discipline and a Maters degree or higher would be a bonus. You will have a number of year’s experience building and supervising the building of statistical models including manipulation of large databases, segmentation, forecasting and regression, product profitability models and credit scoring models preferably in the financial services industry. You will also have excellent communication skills as you will be managing and mentoring a team of analysts as well as working with external clients. You will have a sound knowledge of Statistical Packages such as SAS, SPSS, S-Plus or SQL however SAS is preferred along with Excel.
