Project Manager

One of the UK's Largest Construction Companies, Based in Mid Wales, fantastic Package Circa 40K+ Company Car & Performance Related Bonus

Our client operates throughout the UK servicing dozens of major Blue Chip clients. The company employs around 1700 throughout the UK and has prestigious headquarters in the South East of England.

The Group Structure is now divided into various divisions these are, Civil Engineering, Rail, Gas, Cable Comms, Power and Transport with 4 regional offices and over 50 active construction sites.

The position of Project Manager, will initially be based at an ongoing Wind Farm project in Mid-Wales, but nationwide travel in the future, may be required.

One of the key reasons for creating the CME division was in recognition of the needs and requirements of the renewable market. By providing a total solution for BoP contracts we are able to reduce costs for the developer and reduce Project Management time for the EPC contractor.

Main Duties and Responsibilities of Project Manager

Ø Successful Construction control of awarded projects.
Ø Site management of Safety, Quality, Environment issues.
Ø To profitably complete projects in accordance with the clients specifications
Ø To ensure client satisfaction where possible.
Ø To manage all personnel within your control professionally, effectively and reasonably.
Ø To plan resources and ensure any shortfalls / over re-sourcing issues are resolved in a timely and cost effective manner.
Ø To coordinate and manage any interface with other parts of the division.
Ø To ensure all personnel within your control including subcontractors work in accordance with the company policies, are trained, competent and aware and in particular work safely.
Ø To jointly prepare project Cost Value Reports & Contract Status Reports with commercial staff.
Ø To provide feedback to operations manager on financial issues both positive and negative with constructive advice on areas requiring improvement.
Ø To liaise with estimating to provide value engineering expertise, lessons learnt etc to allow the division to submit quality, competitive tenders to our clients.

Business/Role Objectives

Ø To deliver project schemes profitably and to time to enhance our client's reputation and look to further business.
Ø To assist in recognising new client targets and developing an approach to target with Senior manager.
