Job Summary:
- Preparation of client estimates for commercial heating, plumbing, electrical and associated utilities within new build and refurbishment contracts
Main Tasks & Duties
- Interpretation of JCT Contracts and legal documents
- Production of cost and value analysis data via timesheets, material cost and valuation
- Scope of work surveys as required
- Interpretation of drawings and plans for the production of quotations
- Completion of estimates
- Quotation reviews for specification changes/out of scope requirements
- On going contract monitoring reviews with Contracts and Procurement Managers
- Some direct contact with clients in order to verify or clarify information
Essential Skills/Qualifications/Experience:
- Some relevant experience of estimating/quantity surveying
Desirable Skills/Qualifications/Experience:
- Experience of the building/construction/utilities sector
- Knowledge of JCT Contracts/Term Contracts
- Qualification in Building/Trades/QS etc.
