Our client is an industry leader for the design and implementation of commercial and industrial infrastructures. The company delivers technically advanced systems for highways, rail/air-side networks and telecommunications projects. The systems serviced by our client include lighting and mast programmes, CCTV and surveillance equipment, telecommunications and signalling networks, together with the more traditional civil engineering aspects such as highway and structural improvements, maintenance and carriageway widening.
The company has been awarded the quality assurance accreditation BS 9001:2000 and achieved the Investor in People Award in September 2003.
They are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to be responsible for commercial aspects on several contracts valued at £100,000 to £5,000,000. Duties will include sub-contractor procurement, cost tracking, management account reporting, valuations and final accounts.
The position will be based either in Stone, Staffordshire or Stanstead Abbotts, Hertfordshire. Frequent travel to their sites will be required to liaise with site-based Quantity Surveyors and Construction Teams.
Salary is negotiable depending on experience. Package includes company car, pension, healthcare and bonus scheme.
