They currently employ over 70,000 people world-wide and servicing over 40 countries. Our clients are keen to secure a Marketing Manager, reporting directly to the Managing director.
The purpose of this role is to build and promote the Company's image through positive presentation of news dealing with trade, regional and media within the Sheffield area. Key responsibilities will include: To promote and maintain the reputation of the company, To handle all press communications with statements and releases when appropriate. To develop and maintain a features programme with key publications. To work closely with client press offices regarding local media and roll out of new campaigns. To prepare PR proposals/campaigns for specific PR needs. To liaise with other regional PR staff in aiding in the development of their programmes. To develop PR plans for Onyx Sheffield. To manage all external/internal events to include exhibitions, seminars and social events. To manage various photo calls. To manage suppliers including daily press cuttings. To plan and implement waste education programmes with schools. To identify client requirements through planned research. To liaise with central Marketing and Communications and ensure all activities are managed in line with Group strategy.
The ideal candidate should have at least 36 months previous experience in a marketing role, a working knowledge of the waste management industry would be an advantage although previous experience in Manufacturing, Industrial or Environmental would again be of similar interest. You should be able to prioritise your own workload and be a good team player who can work on their own initiative and be able to communicate at all levels.
