Our client specialises in providing water and wastewater treatment services to the major names within the industry. Part of a larger Global Group of companies they operate throughout the UK and currently have a requirement for a Quantity Surveyor to be based from their office in Northern Ireland. Ideally you will have some experience of working within the water / wastewater treatment sector and be looking to further your career in this expanding sector. You will have at least 3 years experience under your belt and hold a relevant qualification (e.g. HNC or QS degree) Â âGenerally the role will require ·ÔKnowledge of Contractual and Measurement matters. ·ÔRECORDS MANAGEMENT AND MAXIMISATION OF INCOME RECOVERY. ·ÔAssistance to Project Managers on commercial matters. ·ÔAssistance in preparation, submission and agreement of interim payment applications to maximise the Company’s cashflow. ·ÔCo-ordination to ensure contractual requirements are complied with. ·ÔGeneral commercial management of subcontractors. ·ÔAccurate and efficient measurement, identification and measurement of variations. ·ÔAssistance with the production and agreement of final accounts and additional cost claims. ·ÔAssistance with placing sub-contract orders and agreement of subcontract final accounts. ·ÔEnsuring that income from interim applications is received on time. ·ÔAssistance with preparation of claims in liaison with Commercial or Project Manager ·ÔLiaison and co-ordination to ensure financial reporting is timely and accurate. ·ÔPreparation of Bills of Quantities, budgets, take-offs. Although the role will be office based it will involve some travel around the province to sites. They offer an excellent remuneration package for the right candidate as well as excellent long-term career prospects. They may also consider applicants looking for long-term contract work.
