Quantity Surveyor - Shropshire/Construction
The Client:
Is one of the top 10 construction contractors in the UK with a network of 23 offices throughout the UK. They are involved primarily in education, commercial, leisure, retail and residential projects, with values up to around £15m
The Role:
A Quantity Surveyor is required by my client to manage projects of around £500,000
The typical projects include extensions and refurbishments of schools and commercial property
A number of these projects are part of a major framework agreement my client has won valued at over £50m. The framework involves a significant number of new build developments (valued at approx £800,000 each) in the Midlands
The role involves being site based but operating within a 25 mile radius of the Shrewsbury office
This position offers a high degree of early responsibility in your career and after initially running these schemes there is an opportunity to move onto larger construction projects within a separate division in the West Midlands
Skills
My client is seeking a Quantity Surveyor with experience running their own projects of around £500,000
A contractor’s background within construction is essential
A degree would be an advantage but is not essential as my client is happy to support day release for those nearing completion of degree study
