ÂÕIntermediate Quantity Surveyor - Ipswich - Perm - £Negotiableâõ The ideal person will have had at least five years experience working in the offices of a Chartered Quantity Surveyor. The principle duties will be under the guidance and supervision of the Partner or Associative but will include: Measurement of estimates, and assisting the Partner or Associate in preparing Estimates for building works. Site measurement Measurement of abbreviated quantities for Contractors Measurement of quantities under SMM7 rules for tenders Researching pricing Preparation of Spreadsheet, for measurement and other analytical uses Preparing on Site Valuations for Contractor payments Preparation of cost reports on regular basis, by the assessment of the costs of variations Preparation of Final Accounts Other requirements will be a sound knowledge of the use of Word and Excel, and the knowledge of computer aided measurement would be an advantage. It is essential that the successful applicant can work within a team and be pro-active in their approach and outlook. A current driving licence is essential. The applicant may be working towards Chartered Status, although this is not essential, and training packages are available where applicable. Email or telephone me now to register your interest.
