Involves advising the local MoD Property Manager on all aspects of facility/building maintenance.
You need: Experience in the inspection and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems; An understanding of maintenance planning, costing, budgeting and forecasting; Experience in supervision, monitoring and auditing of contractors; The ability to carry out technical inspections of buildings and facilities;
The role: Advise on schedule of requirements and costs for new works services; Control and updating of records, registers, file drawings and computer databases (assisted by the administrative support); Assist with auditing of the Prime Contractor to check for value for money, standard of work, and correctness of solution etc, within approved works programmes; Inspect and advise on the suitability of work in progress and on completion prior to handover; Give technical advice on particular and general aspects related to own discipline.
