Our Clients are a leading supplier of Engineering Services to the UK Process Industry with long term contracts to support customer manufacturing operations. Located in Runcorn Cheshire, they are looking for a Project Execution Manager (PEM)
Candidates should ideally have experience working on Chemical Plants or similar.
Job Purpose
As part of the project organization the PEM is responsible for the safe delivery of all allocated projects within cost budget and specification. The PEM has the full authority to receive instruction, liaise directly with the Clients Project Manager and administer the interface between the company and their Client. On occasions the role of PEM and Construction Manager may be combined.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage and control all of our client's responsibilities, including design where it forms part of the scope of work.
- Test the Clients scope of work, identify areas for potential cost savings and where appropriate propose alternative more cost effective solutions.
- Manage/contribute to business initiatives with respect to project delivery.
- Ensure Safety, Health & Environmental protection are given the highest priority throughout the project
- Deliver our client's scope of work within budget, to programme, to agreed quality/specifications and within the SHE targets agreed with the client.
- Manage the provision of appropriate resources and expertise to successfully deliver our client's scope of work
- Together with the Clients Project manager foster a culture that is focused on teamwork and collective ownership for delivery of the project success criteria
- Identify and evaluate all technical, commercial and business risks and ensure they understood by the project team
- Define and approve an appropriate execution strategy
- Define and approve an appropriate contract & purchasing strategy
- Ensure Construction and Commissioning activities are managed effectively and safely and the project is successfully handed over to the customer
- Manage the closure of the project, including the timely handover of project data
Qualifications and Experience
You will need either a degree and 5 years experience in Project Management or an HND and 10 yrs experience in Project Management
