Our client is one of the leading UK Telcos.
Your role will be to undertake specific development activity associated with the deployment of the data warehouse solutions within Enterprise Systems and consistently deliver tasks on time. To work on their own initiative or as part of a team. Knowledge of at least one software development language associated with Data Warehousing and Business Analytics. Production of quality source code according to defined standards
• Delivery & Planning – Estimate and agree (with line manager) the effort required to complete a task. Deliver tasks to required level of quality and in line with defined scope and agreed time scales.
• People – Support other personnel working in downstream activities. Mentor and give guidance to less experienced staff.
• Technical Expertise – Gain relevant experience in a particular focussed activity, e.g. business function, particular technology, tool or design methodology.
• Standards and Quality – Follow defined quality standards and procedures. Produce acceptable documentation to defined standards.
ESSENTIALS:
• 2 yrs min experience in the role or equivalent
• Understanding of specific IS applications and/or business area e.g. Telecommunications, Billing, Data Warehousing
• Experience of working in a team environment
Experience of working with very large databases, ETL tools, Oracle over UNIX all helpful. Experience of RAD development methods - DSDM
