Field Service Technicians - Telecoms x 3
Gloucestershire, Bristol

Our client is one of the most technically advanced in the UK, comprising of 7,300km of fibre optic cable, with more than 100 points of presence providing services in key business centres across the country. They are currently looking to recruit Field Technicians.
The role:
As the business growth accelerates they now need to expand their operational department in the Southern Region by recruiting three Field Service Technicians.
Our Field Technicians provide first line support on all installation, commissioning and maintenance on all of their customer & core network equipment and services. Their commitment to innovation means that you will be involved with the most up to date customer solutions using the latest telecommunication technology.
You will manage third party relationships with a focus on quality assurance checking ensuring the business ISO accreditation around processes and procedures are adhered to.
What you'll need
* Previous experience in a Telecommunications Field Role.
* Working knowledge of fibre optics.
* Good understanding of NRSWA & CDM.
* Knowledge of networks and protocols.
* Creative problem solver with a can do and flexible attitude.
* Ability to perform well under pressure.
* Customer focused, with initiative to identify positive business solutions.
* Adaptable to change.

They have 15 fully constructed metropolitan area networks including several in the London area, deploying services supported by various switching protocols – ATM, IP and MPLS, for example.
They have more than 2,750 Ethernet connections, providing services for prestigious clients such as TOTAL E&P UK, Imperial College London and the Scottish Executive.
In addition, they have more than 35,000sq ft of web hosting capacity across Britain, and there are 20 UK-wide sites where it can provide its customers' hosting needs close to their premises.
