To manage the Telecommunications infrastructure provision objectives of the Africa region through both local and in Country resource spanning 4 diverse regions throughout the African continent.
Accountabilities
• Full understanding of regional P&L and balance sheet
• 1st contact point for Regional Managers on business issues
• Responsibility for regional Contract control in association with CCO
• Responsible for collation and presentation of all Business cases
• Ensure cost modules are current and cost effective
• Full understanding of Business opportunities within region
• Proactively look at ways to improve how we do business
• Forecast and manage risk
• Project manage existing and new business through UK and regional resources
• Provide reporting to Regional Director Africa on a timely basis as per schedule and as may be reasonably requested.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with Customers
• Ensure good and regular communications with the Customer in order that their requirements are understood and complied with
• Ensure that all members of the Project team comply with Company procedures so that the works are carried out in line with AD requirements
• Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety regulations
• Ensure that the projects are completed on time and within budget in order that the region and division achieves it's Objectives
• Provide forecasts of revenue, cash flow, cost, margin and resources for the area of responsibility for planning and forecasting purposes
• Ensure that the quality of work provided by the Project team is to the required standards so that the professional image of the Company is maintained
• Responsible for local resource management to ensure objectives and budgets are met
• Communicate Africa goals/requirements to the Regional Project teams
• Support, develop, motivate and direct staff within the Project teams
Special features
Responsibility for all aspects of project & operations management across the region to ensure business is grown effectively and objectives are met.
Requirements
• Generally educated to degree level but not essential
• Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative
• At least 5 years experience covering all aspects within Telecommunications • Computer literacy essential for day to day usage of commonly used software
• Good knowledge of costing, budgeting, pricing and forecasting
• High competency in logistics and procurement.
