Fundraising Coordinator (General Funds)
Salary range £24, 000 pro rata
Part time ( 17 ½ hours), Location: Home / office split

The International Children’s Trust (the ICT) is an international development agency which focuses on children who are vulnerable or at risk through poverty.

The ICT specialises in supporting the physical, educational, emotional and psychological needs of children who are living precariously. Our funds are channelled through local partner organisations overseas who implement work in Ecuador, India, Mexico, the Philippines, South Africa and Sri Lanka.

This post-holder is responsible for the implementation of the ICT’s Fundraising strategy. The post-holder will coordinate national fundraising initiatives in consultation with the Executive Director and will be responsible for existing and new opportunities aimed at raising general income for the organisation.

A minimum of two years experience in at least three fundraising techniques for NGOs. Candidates must be willing to undergo CRB check and to comply with the organisations Child Protection Policy

Skills	Person Specification Essential Requirements · Degree level education. · A minimum of 2 years experience of fundraising and knowledge of at least three of the main fundraising techniques within the charitable sector ( i.e. Legacies, Direct Mail, Telemarketing, CRM, Face to Face, PR, Events….) · Fluency in written and spoken English · Good writing skills to prepare materials · Good analytical skills to monitor and assess the results of fundraising. · Good negotiating skills · Good computer literacy skills · Good knowledge of database systems and fundraising needs from systems. · Good team player with self-motivation, coupled with the willingness and readiness to support colleagues. · Sensitivity, sound judgement and pragmatism to deal effectively with delicate and important situations · Willingness and ability to travel in the UK and occasionally overseas and to perform well in challenging and sometimes difficult areas, conditions and situations. · Willingness to work unsocial hours to support the needs of the post. Desirable Requirements · Understanding of not-for-profit organisational structures.
