High quality sous chef is required immediately to join the buffet kitchen for this exclusive Hertfordshire hotel.
You will be required to deputise for and assist the Head Chef in the smooth running of the kitchen, taking particular responsibility for the menu compilation, training, food production and overseeing junior chefs within the team.
The hotels buffet restaurant consists of an open kitchen with rotisserie, char-grill, wok, and wood-fired oven. With fresh food, all cooked to order in small quantities and a salad bar.
The restaurant is a large, light and airy space, with striking modern chandeliers and views over the formal gardens and grounds, to the spectacular golf course. The style is informal, busy and fun, with a central wine bar and an open plan kitchen.
The following qualifications are essential:
C&G 706/1&2 or NVQ equivalent
Excellent and innovative Cooking and Hotplate service skills
HACCPS awareness
Intermediate Food Hygiene Cert.
Ts1 Trainer
First Aid at work Cert.
