A well-respected 4 star hotel seeks a Sales Manager on the Hampshire/Berkshire border for a contemporary and stylish hotel. Enjoying a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere on the outskirts of a bustling town, the hotel possesses over 80 air-conditioned bedrooms and has 6 modern conference rooms with the largest accommodating up to 140 delegates theatre style.
You will be responsible for pro-active cold calling, local market research for targeted weekly internal and external appointments, developing revenue and leads through account management with key business clients, monitoring local competitor prices and negotiating rates with key clients.
You will be reporting to the Regional Sales Manager and the General Manager and the right candidate will have excellent personal presentation and communication skills. A minimum of 18 months previous sales experience and a pro-active ethic with the ability to close a deal is essential. The position will involve some travel although hotel based and would suit someone used to events market involving conferences of 100+ delegates.
