Our client, a member of the Arcum group of companies, is a specialist distributor for data communication, networking and security products and solutions. They currently seek a Business Development Manager to manage the company's activities in Voice Over IP.
You will be responsible for the development and implementation of product business plans, supplier development and management, the generation and development of direct and new business, as well as input into marketing and publicity of the company's VOIP products and solutions.
Overall, you will develop new vendors, achieve targeted sales and profit, and will develop long-term profitable and sustainable business. In order to fulfil these duties, the candidate will require:
* A good knowledge of the VOIP market, with understanding of products, application and potential customers
* Knowledge of networking, communication and of the channels required to develop business
* Some technical qualification - preferably to minimum HNC/HND level
* Three years minimum direct selling
* Commercial awareness of factors affecting profitability
* An outgoing and presentable manner, even when under pressure
* The ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision
* The ambition to succeed
