Our Client, a diverse manufacturing & service company operating in over 100 countries and employing more than 250,000 employees worldwide. Our Client is a market leader in the manufacture of high integrity steel products for masonry and reinforced concrete construction. This division employs over 300 people at 3 sites in the UK and has 4 overseas offices.
The role will be of particular interest to ambitious candidates who are looking to make a name for themselves in construction industry sales within a successful global business. The opportunities for talented, professional, bottom line focused individuals are unlimited.
Reporting to the PSC Division UK & Export Sales Manager, the post holder will be responsible for managing & securing major project & specialist distributor sales. Selling directly to the construction industries major contractors, Reinforcing bar fabricators & via specialist distributors. Managing a territory of over £2m covering the Southern region incorporating South East, South West & Midlands to Birmingham. The role will involve actively promoting the PSC Divisions products & services by the presentation & negotiation of major project quotations, provide basic product application information to contractors on site, liaising with Ancon's technical team for back up on technical design issues. The candidate will be provided with a company car (N4 Level) and (optional) fuel card, laptop computer & mobile phone. Key responsibilities are:
• Account management of Major contractors, reinforcing bar fabricators & specialist distributors within the territory.
• Management of quotations within the territory
• Negotiate & secure sales in line with agreed targets
• Defend specification of ABP products
• Advise on the suitability & selection of PSC Division products for specific situations.
• Assist rebar fabricators & specialist distributors in securing sales of PSC division products to projects by means of technical sales support on & off site.
Candidate Requirements
It is essential that the individual has the following:
• At least 2 years experience of selling face to face in a related construction environment (supplier of building products or similar)
• Strong negotiation skills
• Customer service oriented
• Good communication skills
• High degree of self motivation
• Good personal organisation
• Current driving licence
