Responsibilities include day to day running of the depot ensuring optimum performance is achieved at all times in the areas of customer service, transport, goods in / out, warehouse operations, sales, health and safety, security. Must take responsibilty for managing the depot operational PandL. Report progress / issues actively to the director on a weekly / monthly basis. Organise weekly operational meetings to discuss performance, productivity, healthand safety, security, resourcing etc. Where necessary handle problems relating to customers and clients. Ensuring driveries and staff are meeting if not exceeding client operational requirements. Ensure all customer enquiries are delt with in a timely, courteous and efficient manner. Line management of staff support, train and develop your team. Undertake annual appraisals and evaluate team and individual performance. Coordinate holidays and maintain a staff register of your team.
