Technical Manager - Automotive - Automotive after market - Nottinghamshire - East Midlands - £Negotiable + Excellent benefits package
Our client is part of a worldwide organisation recognised as a market leader in the automotive industry. They are looking to recruit a Technical Manager, based in Nottinghamshire within the Off Highway Division. The division is responsible for products associated with Construction, materials handling and Agricultural markets in the British Isles.
The Technical Manager will develop and lead a committed and proactive team of technical specialists providing a support Service to OEM, Importers, End Users, Drive Centres and internal customers.
The successful candidate will be a Professional Engineer with recognised engineering or industrial qualifications such as a degree or membership of a relevant professional institution. The individual should have proven management experience along with experience of driveline and vehicle engineering, applications and service support. Essential to the role is computer and electronics experience with the ability to deal with the specialist technical issues relating to transmission control and diagnostics.
The post holder will be the point of contact with the design and production departments concerning technical and quality issues with the aim of meeting external and internal customer needs. In addition, they will be expected to develop failure probability estimates for key products groups to assist in estimation of Aftermarket size.
