Shisha (www.shisha.net) and Visual Associations (www.visualassociations.org) are working in partnership to create access to, and employment opportunities for, South Asian visual artists/makers. The initiative entitled Parampara (Sanskrit word which often equates with tradition, stands for one following the other) will commence with a research project. Parampara will enhance the profile of regional South Asian artists through 6 Solo exhibitions, affiliated publications, professional development for South Asian curators, and the establishment of an artist online resource.
