Systems Engineer – Civil Avionics
Surrey/South West London border
Systems Engineers required with a strong civil avionics background, to work in both rotary and fixed wing environments, specifying and designing civil avionics (navigation and communications) subsystems and integrating these subsystems into a variety of civil and potentially military airborne platforms.
Candidates should have detailed knowledge of civil aircraft communication and navigation subsystems including SATCOM. Possess knowledge of the integration and certification of systems on civil airliners (AIRBUS/BOEING and their methodologies). Previous experience of working with civil airworthiness organisations such a CAA/FAA/EASA advantageous. You should have a knowledge of civil avionics protocols (ARINC 429, 615, 615A, 664) and SATCOM protocols (741, 761 and 781). Requirements capture and management using DOORS and good written and verbal communication skills.
You should have a relevant degree/HNC/HND and have 2-5 years experience gained in civil avionics design with a background in avionics/electronics.
