Key Tasks:
Advise on Product Environmental aspects including Environmental Impact Assessments and provide support for site / company ISO 14001 Registration
Provide specialist environmental advice consistent with regulatory and legislative requirements to the project and engineering teams.
Undertake Independent Peer Reviews of a wide range of Safety Case documentation.
Participate / undertake safety assessments, analysis and studies employing appropriate techniques (i.e. Fault / Event Trees, HAZID, HAZAN, HAZOPs etc.
Manage and Implement Audit Programmes undertaking Safety and / or Environmental Audits as required.
Contribute to the development of a process based Safety and Environmental Management System (SEMS) to enable delivery of the Project Safety Case.

Able to apply rules in complex processes, make decisions and follow them through. Champion continuous improvement and where appropriate able to challenge the status quo.
Articulate, able to produce written reports and assessments for review by others including Senior Management. Able to undertake presentations to Senior Management and Committees.
Adaptable, able to quickly assess problems and situations and make safety decisions.
Qualifications:
Science / Engineering Degree supported by relevant training courses (i.e. SSMO, HAZOP Chairperson, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Risk Assessment)
Good standard of written and spoken English
Good appreciation of safety and environment management disciplines and techniques.
Audit and Safety related qualifications (inc. 14001 Environmental System Auditor).
Experience:
Experience gained in undertaking Safety Assessments, preparing Safety Case documentation (3 years) in a highly regulated environment.
Experience gained in undertaking Environmental Impact Assessments (3 years).
Undertaking Safety and Environmental System Audits.
