The requirement is for 3 Quality Engineers to assist the Full Rate Production program in challenging the existing methodologies and environment of a predominantly inspection and test facility of low throughput to enable the program to meet its requirement which has to deliver a minimum of 495 guns to the US Marines at a peak rate of 14 guns per month whilst improving quality timeliness and cost.
You will be responsible for co-ordinating the Statistical Process Control program (SPC) Collecting shop floor and supply base data from key processes for evaluation and action to support/lead Quality Improvement Groups. Challenging existing inspection methodologies and supporting/leading the inspection team in co-ordinating workloads and priorities to support throughput.
Applicants should have a solid background of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) and be familiar with medium to high volume production runs. Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) and Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA) also essential.
