Our client company requires a MANUFACTURING ENGINEER - RESEARCH COMPOSITES
As a member of the Manufacturing engineering team deployed into Composite research projects, the role will require the individual to support the successful development of Composites for application to aircraft.
Key accountabilities
• To develop new manufacturing processes and assembly techniques in composite materials
• Define new research proposals for funding at National or European level
• Undertake research through effective project management monitoring, cost, quality and lead time.
• Report and document progress
• To advise and influence Engineering design for manufacture
• To ensure manufacturability and cost effectiveness of composite manufacturing solutions
• To develop and transfer technology capability to the rest of the business
• Role will involve developing relationships with other partners
The sucessful candidate shoiuld have a knowledge of Composite manufacturing technology including detailed knowledge of component and assembly processes.Understanding of aircraft geometry, tooling systems and assembly techniques A Knowledge of research process including proposal generation and report writing
The sucessful candidate should be :-
Degree qualified
Computer literate
Ability to interface/network with internal operations business and research
Ability to work under own initiative within a defined programme and tar
General Experience
Approximately 3 years experience of working with manufacturing technology
Experience of new product introductions Ability to work in multi functional teams
