We are looking to recruit a support engineer. You will be required to support internal sites and a number of small external web sites. A good knowledge of HTML and ASP is required. Good experience of the setup, installation and maintenance of IIS is required.
The sucessful candidate would be required to support other applications which depend on web services (Visual Intercept and HRM). The candidate will also be expected to support small MS Access applications (using VBA) and SQL Server database so some knowledge of these products will be expected.
The support engineer will also be required to support users for general IT issues by taking calls on the helpdesk. Experience of Office products as well as Windows XP is required. Some knowledge of Active Directory and ability to carry out basic tasks such as password resets or creating a new user will be expected.
<strong>Essential:</strong>
- Windows 2003 server
- I IS 5 or 6
- Highly proficient in HTML
- 12 Months experience in MS Access
- Competent and confident in using SQL Server
<strong>Advantageous:</strong>
Reasonable level of knowledge in, or 6 months to 12 months experience of:
- ASP/ASP.net
- Visual Basic
- Crystal Reports
Any knowledge of javascript, Perl, PHP advantageous.
Industry Background:
IT related - Wen/intranet support experience.
Helpdesk and user supposrt experience.
Experience in a technology based company
