Our client is the UK's leading manufacturer of ceramic tiles and a major distributor of natural stone and mosaic tiles. The company exports to 50 countries worldwide, including a significant presence in the USA where its products have proven extremely popular. They are currently looking to recruit a PR & Communications Coordinator to work in their offices just off junction 30 of the M5.
Job Description:
1. Work with Marketing Manager to co-ordinate a complete PR strategy covering all main markets both in the UK and overseas (will also include PR for Contract Sales Dept, Winchester & Factory Shops)
2. Co-ordinate all PR activity in the UK and overseas, building the company profile and raising brand awareness
3. Write press releases, news articles and dealer communications
4. Fulfil all press enquiries and sample requests
5. Assist dealers with PR requests for images, copy and brochures
6. Co-ordinate mail shots to dealer network
7. Build good relationships with key media personnel
8. Provide PR support for all new product launches and store openings
9. Co-ordinate all PR events
10. Maintain image library
11. Update sales teams on a monthly basis with all PR activity
The person needs to:
1. have some PR experience, preferably within the retail industry
2. be proactive
3. have excellent communication and interpersonal skill
4. demonstrate the ability to work on own initiative and also as part of the marketing team
5. well organised with good attention to detail
6. be able to complete projects on time and within set budgets
7. be able to competently draft press releases and communications
8. be IT literate and familiar with Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop
