My client based in North West Wigan, Lancashire are a long standing profitable service provider and now seek a dynamic Electrical or Mechanical graduate engineer with experience in either gas, oil, water or power industries.
Reporting to the Technical Director, you will work on a diverse range of technically and operationally biased projects, with which you will be intimately involved. You will be dealing with mechanical and electrical issues, and by using your technical knowledge you will be able to see through the problems encountered and arrive at a solution. You will be involved with mechanical products and deal with some software integration issues that will be resolved by the current small team of specialists. You will need to be flexible and welcome exposure to many different disciplines, adapting your approach to the situation. Client interaction will be key, and as such you will need to be a confident communicator to different levels of the business.
You will ideally have a BSc or MSc in Electrical, mechanical or a relevant field, and experience in a suitable industry. Exposure to ATEX regulations, gas logger development, and Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) would be advantageous. Although office based, you will be required to carry out some UK travel including customer visits and some periods of on-site activities.
Traditionally my client have been reading meters for a large and diversified client base, but now they are developing new advances in metering technology and are upgrading their clients installations. They are rapidly becoming the number one metering company in the North. Due to this exciting expansion of the business they now wish employ a technical qualified engineer to work on and around the various projects which are both technically and operationally focused.
