HSE Project Manager - Global Manufacturing and Plant Testing Co-ordination
West Yorkshire, Leeds
£40,000 - £50,000 Negotiable
Our client supplies mission critical, highly engineered plant and equipment that is operated in the most hazardous and extreme environments. They are looking to recruit a HSE Project Manager for a prestigious high value contract.
The role:
Health, Safety and Environment are intrinsic values to the business culture as any failures have massive ramifications for customers. The project funding this role is seen as a jewel in the crown for an organisation that measures turnover in the billions and operates globally: you will be highly visible as you co-ordinate, manage and direct all HSE requirements across the organisation, with suppliers and with customers. Duties and responsibilities of the HSE Project Manager will include:
-Produce and oversee execution of HSE plans with responsibility for all project HSE policy and procedure.
-Schedule and conduct audits with company plants and major suppliers
-Support engineering, design and testing planners at all stages of product lifecycle
-Implement HAZID and HAZOP reviews
-Investigate and follow up any significant incident
-Liaise and report to clients on all HSE metrics
To accomplish this job you will be:
-An excellent communicator, persuasive and able to engage with internal, external client and supplier contacts to ensure their support and commitment to the programme
-Able to deliver results through others – an excellent delegator and co-ordinator
-Able to gather and analyse data to proactively address issues
-Well informed, able to manage at a broad level and in detail where required.
-Prepared to travel
Previous experience must include:
-Working on complex technical manufacturing and engineering projects
-Strong project management skills
-Extensive background in HSE planning and delivery with experience of HAZID, HAZOP, and ideally PTR3 reviews.
-Qualification at higher education in either a manufacturing / engineering / business discipline
-Evidence of professional HSE qualifications
