Sales and Marketing Manager
Central London
£45,000 - £55,000
Our client is based in central London and has a proven track record of delivering quality IT solutions and support across a broad range of industries since 1998. Having grown organically, they are now poised to develop to the next level. They are now executing a 3 year business plan, the completion of which will form the platform for an IPO in 2011 / 2012. They now need a challenge driven, innovative sales and Marketing Manager to exploit the company's potential and drive the company towards its goal.
The successful candidate will be fully responsible for the direction of both the sales and marketing functions of the company in respect of new business activity and growing revenue from existing customers. >From the outset you will be a key member of the company's decision making Management Team.
The role:
You will be responsible for managing the existing sales team of 4 and aggressively growing the team and its productivity. You will also manage outsourced marketing activities along with partners and suppliers from whom we sell services and equipment with added value.
You will mange the Marketing budget and determine the mix of proactive and reactive sales activity. You will shape and monitor the whole sales cycle along with developing the company's suite of products and services.
It is expected that within 12 months of service you will become a Director of the Company and you will be rewarded with a progressive equity package.
Experience and Competencies:
This role will demand significant experience of selling IT Technical Services (i.e. consultancy or support) in a B2B environment. You must have a proven track record of success in facilitating and growing sales revenue.
Knowledge of Network Infrastructure and design principles will be essential along with a keen interest in the general world of IT. Professional IT vendor qualifications such as MCP or CCNA certification will be hugely beneficial.
Experience of building relationships with an existing client base at all levels and experience of building a new client base is vital. You must demonstrate the ability to balance the dynamics of new business sales versus the leverage of revenue from existing customers.
* You will have managed the sale / delivery of services under a structured SLA environment and preferably through other innovative methodologies as well
* You must have directly managed and recruited sales staff
* You must be able to demonstrate a commitment to service excellence
* You must be a team player with vision and direction that is able to communicate and influence those around you
Expected Attitude of Applicants:
* Our clients requires a sales and customer focused, flexible, 'everything-is-possible' attitude, typical for a fast growing company.
* You must be prepared to be proactive and ‘get your hands dirty' in a close knit environment with each member of staff and department needing to support each other.

Year 1 = £45,000 - £55,000 package
