Working within a telephone based Sales Consultant team, the purpose of this role is to sell company's Protection products and services to a panel of IFAs, working where appropriate with field based consultants.
The role:
The main objectives of the role are to develop successful relationships with our customers by understanding their needs and helping them to develop their business, which will in turn contribute to you writing the agreed levels of business.
Key accountabilities of the role of Sales Consultants:
- To develop, agree and implement a personal business plan for designated accounts, consistent with area objectives, in order to deliver agreed NBI/Penetration targets.
- To develop protection sales through collaborative working with key internal Protection Distribution Channel stakeholders
- To actively promote AXA products by demonstrating benefits to the IFA
- To apply knowledge of the IFA marketplace and commercial acumen to create viable but innovative solutions for the IFA and assist them to grow their business
- To identify and build relationships with key Registered Individuals within designated IFAs to ensure that relevant information/comments are fed back into the account planning and management process
- To identify and act on opportunities for cross-selling
Skills, knowledge and behaviour:
The successful candidate will :
1. Have strong planning and organisational skills
2. Be flexible and adaptable, with the ability to manage under pressure and cope with change
3. Have strong communication skills, both verbal and written
4. Be self starting and proactive
5. Be FPC Qualified
6. Have current knowledge of the IFA market
7. Preferably have some knowledge of the AXA products & service proposition
8. Have strong sales skills & experience
9. Have demonstrated relationship development & management skills
10. Have a track record of delivering sales targets
11. Have a good working knowledge of regulatory requirements within sales
