Procurement Manager - Client Management – CIPS qualified

Our client is looking to recruit a Procurement Manager. As Procurement Manager you will be leading sourcing initiatives and other processes policies and procedures across the procurement function, which deliver increased efficiency, compliance with FSA requirements, reduced costs and adherence to best practise. They are looking to recruit a Procurement Manager.

The role:

Key accountabilities
* Contribute to the production of the operational plan detailing how performance targets will be achieved
* Lead procurement initiatives determined by the agreed procurement strategy and operational plan. Coordinating and delivery of the process/initiative, leading to establishment of best in class, policy, process, or service.
* Leading and contribute to projects, undertaking assigned tasks in the development and implementation of specific deliverables and ensuring these are delivered within the time, costs and quality parameters
* Continually challenge operational requirements
* Supports the design of standards, processes policies and procedures
* Implements measures, KPIs and management reports to demonstrate supplier performance
* Benchmark and understand best practise. Collating and analysing information on suppliers, competitors and service/product innovations in order to inform strategy and negotiations
* Monitor, track and manage cost and service performance of Third Parties
Measures
* Delivery of agreed savings targets measured through the benefits tracking system.
* Supplier Performance is achieved against agreed SLA performance
* Compliance with procurement policies & procedures
* Proactively managing commercial and contractual risk with third party suppliers
* Satisfaction of key stakeholders including AXA Operating Companies and suppliers measured through customer surveys and other feedback
* Operating Company buy in and compliance to preferred suppliers measured through tracking of leakage and non-conformance reporting
* No business risk exposures
* Materiality assessments, contracts, SLA's, KPI's, BCP and Contingency plans in place with Third Parties
* Ensure compliance with FSA regulatory requirements through risk and materiality assessments. Contracts in place with appropriate SLA's and KPI's

Skills, Knowledge and Behaviour:

Education:

* Educated up to Degree level (or equivalent)
* CIPS professional procurement qualification
Knowledge/skills:
* Good knowledge of procurement concepts, processes and techniques including supply chain management, Total Cost Modelling, supplier performance metrics
* Strong business commercial awareness
* Expertise in all facets of commercial contracts, including termination, assignment, dispute resolution and general drafting
* CIPS qualified
* Strong analytical skills
* High-level presentation, influencing & commercial negotiation skills
* Internal relationship management & consulting skills
* Proven ability to develop and articulate cross-function procurement strategies and processes
* Preferably experience in other industry sectors
* Proven buying and negotiation skills
* Able to influence and with good communication skills
* Knowledge of the Insurance and general financial services market and advantage

This is management role within a function of the UK procurement organisation, which itself is a function within finance.

The role interfaces across all the UK businesses and its key functions, influencing and supporting key functional areas in the delivery of their objectives, including reducing total cost of supply and improving process efficiencies. Maximising group leverage across the business to deliver enhanced local business benefits.
Supporting the business functions to ensure supplier relationships adhere to FSA compliance and business risk is mitigated
