We are the UK arm of one of Europe's largest and most successful IT Services Organisations. The UK is one of the fastest growing and most strategically important markets for the Group, delivering a full range of IT Services to many of the UK's leading organisations.
You will manage the project test team, ensuring that all stages of testing lifecycle are completed within the agreed timescales, using the agreed approach to agreed budget; whilst maintaining quality and managing risk throughout all of the testing phases.
The following skills are mandatory:
* Thorough understanding of the role of software testing in the development lifecycle
* Ability to analyse, diagnose, design, plan, execute and evaluate work to time, cost and quality targets, exhibiting thorough familiarity with available testing methods, procedures, tools, equipment and standards and making appropriate choices from alternatives
* Takes initiative to ensure technical skills and specialisations are kept up-to-date in line with industry developments
* Experience of testing in the banking and financial sectors
Experience in executing tests across the full testing lifecycle, and an ISEB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing are also desired qualities, whilst the following personal attributes are also beneficial:
* Leadership skills required for the assignment
* Systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to testing and problem solving
* Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with subordinates, colleagues, managers, clients and customers at all levels, both formally and informally
* Ability to influence and persuade others to take a specific course of action when there is no direct line of command or control
* Flexible approach to projects
