Our client is an international law firm, offering corporate, commercial and business legal services. They currently seek a Business Development Co-ordinator to join the team in the City of London.
Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the Business Development Co-ordinator will be required to deliver Business Development support to the firmwide Real Estate team. The role will play a pivotal part in the Marketing team and will require daily liaison with senior Partners, as well as legal advisors and secretaries, within the Real Estate practice.
The BDC will be working with a highly motivated, friendly marketing team. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to sharpen their BD and marketing skills at the cutting edge of professional services and within one of the most successful practice areas in the group.
The post holder will liaise with business advisors and firmwide practice group marketing teams around the country to ensure effective and timely delivery of Real Estate initiatives. They will be expected to work on the following key areas:
* Sales - New Business Acquisition: To assist on winning new and profitable business for the firm through target identification. To support targeted strategic development for acquisition of new business from current clients. To assist the compilation and updating of pitching materials and systems to support bids.
* Products & Services: To develop understanding of key Real Estate products and services and assist in the development of awareness through out the firm.
* Brand & Reputation: To ensure all materials used for Business Development purposes enhance the brand through quality and consistency.
* CRM: To help the firm improve our CRM capability and performance by ensuring highest quality support & co-ordination of effort to client service teams.
* Marketing & Communications: To provide assistance to the team, particularly the other Business development Co-ordinator, on key events, campaigns and other marketing communications if these become a priority for the group at any given time. To provide awareness of events for target and client invitees and fee earners.
The role requires a self starter who has excellent written and verbal skills, is analytical, enthusiastic and willing to learn. This is not a 9.00- 5.00 role as it will require someone to work outside these hours as and when the situation warrants.
It is preferable that candidates have experience of working within a marketing role with significant emphasis on business development. Previous experience of working within a professional services or property environment would be useful but is not a pre-requisite.
The post holder will work with a diverse range of people across the firm and they must be able to form effective working relationships quickly. Candidates should have a positive, ‘can-do' attitude and be willing to get involved in a wide variety of tasks at any given time.
