Our Client is an IT Consultancy looking for an Accounts Specialist to join our team. You will either be full or part qualified (if part qualified you will be supported through the remainder of your qualification). We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in IT and improving businesses. You will be involved in:
• Business process re-engineering
• Designing charts of accounts
• Understanding and implementing ERP systems
• Managing take on and cut over issues
• Systems analysis and design
• Project management and people management
You must have the ability to work with people in the organisation and outside. You will be responsible for delivery on time and to cost including managing client resources to meet delivery targets. You will also have to work closely with our software development team to design financial aspects of bespoke business systems.
You will ideally have experience of more than 1 financial system and experience of implementing SAP or CODA is desirable although not essential. You must have a track record in demonstrating initiative and decision making and be quick to comprehend problems and pick up new skills.
You must understand business processes and how IT systems can be used to improve them, particularly in the finance area. You must have outstanding business presence and be able to communicate at FD level, be comfortable challenging assumptions and be empathetic with customers. You must have excellent people skills and display outstanding customer service standards. You must be flexible and manage ambiguity whilst working on a variety of projects.
