Our Client, one of the largest, independently owned, Scottish based, construction and development businesses, was formed in 1943.
The Group has grown significantly in recent years, with turnover now in excess of £100 million. To achieve this growth, they have extended their involvement in projects requiring innovative financial structures and joint ventures. In addition, the Group's operational holding company has invested in companies in other industry sectors to create a more diverse portfolio of business interests.
This growth has led to a requirement for an Accounts Assistant.
Duties will include production of accurate monthly contract costs through:
- Matching delivery notes against orders on
- Microsoft Navision Build-IT accounts package
- Process and check supplier's invoices for payment by matching them against orders and delivery notes on Microsoft Navision Build-IT accounts package.
- Weekly processing and payment of Subcontractors.
- Monthly CIS returns.
- Deal with problem accounts and suppliers
- Provide administrative support, filing etc.
- Deal with Site management and queries
- Ensure month end deadlines are achieved
- Back up for other departmental functions
Person Specification:
- Construction experience preferred
- Microsoft Navision experience preferred
- Experience of high volume processing that involves matching delivery notes and orders to the invoice and coding of invoices is essential. You must have done this yourself i.e. the invoice isn't authorised by someone else for you to just post.
