Our Client, one of the largest, independently owned, Scottish based, construction and development businesses, was formed in 1943.
The Group has grown significantly in recent years, with turnover now in excess of £100 million. To achieve this growth, they have extended their involvement in projects requiring innovative financial structures and joint ventures. In addition, the Group's operational holding company has invested in companies in other industry sectors to create a more diverse portfolio of business interests.
This growth has led to a requirement for a Management Accountant
Responsible for the monthly management accounts for Hart Builders, Hart Estates and Joint Venture Companies. Duties will include:
* Preparation of monthly management accounts
* Preparation of quarterly financial accounts
* Cashflow and WIP forecasting
* Budget monitoring, variance analysis
* Project appraisals
* Profit and loss and balance sheet analysis
* Liaising with developers and directors
* Liaising with auditors
* Development and implementation of new accounting software modules and processes
* Manage a busy department of 2 Assistant Accountants and 4 Accounts Assistants
Skills and experience required:
* Degree educated
* Qualified or passed finalist within the construction or property/residential development sector
* Experience of production of management and financial accounts
* Experience of joint ventures
* Enthusiastic and motivated
* Strong team player
* Strong work ethic
