Sales Executive / Sales Representative – New Business
Castleford, West Yorkshire
Including commission £17,000 - £22,000 DOE

Our client has been established in the computer software industry for over 20 years and has been producing entertainment software for many high profile film, character and sports licenses. They are looking to recruit a Sales Executive / Sales Representative.

They are seeking an ambitious person to work as a Sales Executive / Sales Representative in the sales department, servicing the current client base of high street stores and specialist distributors and looking to expand this with new clients.

Skills required for the position of Sales Executive / Sales Representative:
- Strong communication – both internal and external
- Previous experience in a sales environment essential
- Good customer focus
- Industry experience (desirable but not essential)
- Clean driving license an advantage.

Dependent upon experience and expertise you will be working either face to face or on the phone to discover, develop and transform new sales leads and prospects to satisfied customers. Where appropriate you will prepare and present sales proposals, whilst keeping the support teams, senior staff and records up to date on the progress of leads. Where necessary, and dependent upon experience you will be required to use a consultative approach to selling with an ability to interpret client needs, which will be key when recommending beneficial solutions. You will manage the accounts of new and existing customers to make sure they are satisfied, whilst ensuring they reach their full potential.

You must be a friendly and professional person, trusted by clients and your colleagues and driven to succeed. Communications skills are paramount, as is the ability to deal with people at all levels within an organisation. You must be able to manage your time effectively, making sure you keep up to date whilst building strong customer relationships. You should have experience and a proven track record within a sales environment, either face to face, through telesales, or a combination of the two.

Our client is a CASTLEFORD-based publisher and distributor of computer software with over 300 titles to its name, our client was first established in 1985 and continues to grow thanks to success in global territory deals.

During the 80s and 90s, the company created a slew of commercially successful games for the then popular BBC, Spectrum and Commodore 64 home computer systems. Several games were based on well-known children's characters, notably Thomas The Tank Engine, Fireman Sam and the best-selling Postman Pat.

Educational titles emerged soon after, followed by a series of collectable CD ROMs and computer accessories.

More recently, the company has enjoyed success with titles based on major film licenses, particularly The Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Hulk. Also, the sell-out success of 2003's Super League Rugby League (SLRL) for PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC, and in 2005/06 Super League Rugby League 2, plus most recently Frankie Dettori Racing.

The companies continues to develop new products and acquire new character licenses with leading licensors such as Marvel, DreamWorks and Aardman Animations.
