Our Client is a privately owned, Canadian company with offices in UK, Germany, Ireland, Canada and Hong Kong. They are a leading designer of PC-based hardware and software for machine vision, image analysis, medical imaging and video surveillance. Products include frame grabbers, vision processors, imaging platforms, smart camera and development software.
As a member of a small and focused UK Imaging team, reporting to the Territory Sales Manager, the ideal candidate will qualify and close OEM prospects and target accounts within the UK. Working directly with their distributor in the UK, the successful applicant will qualify leads before passing them onto the distributor, target potential customers for the distributor and act as direct back up for the distributor's sales team.
The role involves regular travel within the UK with occasional business trips overseas, in addition to providing product training, presentations and sales support to drive sales opportunities with major OEM's.
The candidate is also responsible for working within the company to enlist and lead the support of all factory resources (development, technical support, production and logistics) required to close and support key accounts.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or sciences, or equivalent.
- The ideal candidate would be fluent in French and/or German, though this is not essential.
- At least 2 years experience in technical sales or applications engineering.
- Experience within the Imaging industry (frame grabbers, software, cameras, etc) would be highly advantageous.
- Solid understanding of PC technology, both hardware and software components and integration.
