CHANNEL SALES MANAGER
£35-45K Basic/ £60/70K OTE
Our client requires two experienced Channel Sales Managers focussed on working specific Distributors and VAR's in the U.K.
The role includes the management of existing Channel partners and the identification and recruitment of new Distributors, VAR's, Systems integrators who have the skills, expertise, experience and market positioning to be valuable channel partners for our client. The candidate will work closely with the Distributors and their VAR's to ensure they successfully develop their relationships with their major customers. He/She will have a close working relationship with the sales teams from the Distributors/VAR's and will play a key and important role in the sales campaign, through partner motivation and channel management.
The successful Candidate must have following qualifications;
" At least 5-7 years experience within the IT Industry, with significant business and sales experience and a proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
" Experience in and understanding of the role of Distributors, VAR's, Systems integrators and Consultants. Should have worked as an Account Manager in this area and will have the experience to be credible in the sector.
" Ability to empathise with both the Channel partners and the direct sales teams and adopt a disciplined, entrepreneurial approach to achieve the company's goals and objectives and to capitalise on and exploit market opportunities.
" Have a professional sales approach and the ability to negotiate comfortably and effectively at all levels.
" Have strong communication skills enabling them to sell themselves and their enthusiasm for the company to users, prospects and third parties.
" He/She will have an above average work rate and an ability to withstand stress, coupled with a personal drive to "get things done".
" Possess integrity and tenacity of the highest order.
" An appropriate degree or qualification together with professional, technical, sales and management training.
" Have well developed work and business planning skills, coupled with flair and vision.
